Consumer claims and damages

An unfulfilled service, defective product or loss requires a properly supported claim. We review what happened, the documents and the outcome you seek to assess how the matter should be pursued.

How we can help

Identifying the claim

We organise the facts and distinguish between fixing the issue, obtaining a refund, ending the contract and claiming damages. We assess which requests can be supported by the available information.

Documents and evidence of loss

We review contracts, invoices, correspondence and supporting records. If the loss requires technical assessment, we identify the report that may be needed and distinguish an initial estimate from an amount already established.

Initial claim and negotiation

We prepare a structured claim to the responsible party and consider the relevant complaint channels. We assess settlement options and any preliminary requirements before bringing court proceedings.

Assessing court action

If the response does not resolve the issue, we assess the evidence, risks and scope of proceedings. Debt recovery and specifically banking-related disputes have their own services so each matter follows the appropriate route.

Frequently asked questions

Can you help if the business has already rejected my complaint?

Yes. We review the response and documents to assess whether there are grounds to pursue, negotiate or use another route. A previous rejection does not by itself determine the outcome.

Can you tell me in advance how much I will recover?

We can assess heads of loss and supporting evidence, but the final amount recognised and its recovery depend on the settlement or decision and the liable party’s circumstances. Recovery is not guaranteed.
