How we can help
Initial review of the case
We review communications from the prosecutor or court, the alleged facts and the young person’s situation. We explain each participant’s role and the information needed to prepare appropriate legal assistance for the case.
Defence and support
We prepare representation at interviews, hearings and other agreed procedural steps. We help the young person understand decisions affecting them and coordinate information with their representatives in accordance with the particular features of the proceedings.
Measures and personal circumstances
We examine the requests and reports included in the file. Our assessment considers the alleged facts, personal circumstances and proposed measures, together with the options permitted by the framework governing the particular case.
Civil liability and follow-up
We also assess financial claims connected with the case and the people against whom they are made. After a decision, we review its effects and any further work, including assistance during the implementation of measures.
Frequently asked questions
Is it the same as adult criminal proceedings?+
No. Juvenile criminal responsibility has a specific legal framework. Age and circumstances must be checked when assessing the case.
Should we send all the young person’s personal details through the form?+
For the first enquiry, briefly describe the matter and mention any summons. We will agree which documents are needed and how to provide them.
