Immigration advice

EU citizens and their families

We help organise residence procedures in Spain for EU, EEA and Swiss citizens and for family members covered by the relevant free movement rules.

Advice in English and Spanish.

Your circumstances first

We review your situation before considering a route.

Documents with a purpose

We connect your information with the case that needs reviewing.

A clear scope

We agree on the work and fees before starting the service.

Who this is for

For EU, EEA or Swiss citizens and family members who need to review their residence formalities in Spain.

How we can help

Registration for EU citizens

We review your position as an employee, independent professional, student or person with independent resources. We identify the evidence relevant to the registration certificate and guide you through preparation and submission.

Family members from non-EU countries

We assess the relationship and the EU citizen’s position before preparing the relevant residence card application. We identify suitable evidence of the relationship, dependency, resources or health coverage without assuming every family connection is treated alike.

Changes in family or work circumstances

A change of employment, separation or relocation may affect documentation or residence rights. We review the facts and available options to prepare any relevant notifications or applications.

Continuity and permanent residence

If you have been living in Spain for some time, we review your history and the conditions for documenting permanent residence where appropriate. We distinguish the EU citizen’s certificate from the card issued to non-EU family members.

How we work with you

  1. Review your situation

We connect nationality, activity and family relationships.

  2. Distinguish the documents

We identify which certificate or card should be considered.

  3. Prepare for continuity

We review the formalities and relevant personal or work-related changes.

Plan the rest of your arrival.

If you need them, MEDLA can also help with these services.

Frequently asked questions

Are the registration certificate and family card the same?

No. The appropriate document depends on each person’s nationality and position under the rules. We check which one applies.

Does this apply if my family member is Spanish?

The applicable framework needs checking. Families of Spanish citizens have specific residence rules, and any history of EU free movement may also need assessment.

Let’s discuss your next step.
