Debt and banking

Banking disputes

We review loans, charges, contract terms and other disputes with your bank to assess the evidence, potential claims and their scope.

How we can help

Review the transaction

We start with the contract and what happened while it was being performed. We examine statements, calculations and correspondence to identify the dispute and distinguish issues requiring separate review.

Terms and transparency

We assess the terms applied and the information provided when contracting. Any assessment of an unfair term depends on the agreement, your status in the transaction and the specific circumstances.

Complain to the bank

We prepare a structured account of the facts, evidence and requested remedy. If a complaint to the Bank of Spain is considered, we review the required prior complaint and whether the matter falls within its remit.

Assess the next steps

We compare the disputed amount, available evidence and potential routes. Court proceedings require an agreed scope and an assessment of costs and risks; they are not automatically included in an initial complaint.

Frequently asked questions

Is an unfavourable clause always unfair?

No. Assessment requires reviewing the contract type, circumstances and applicable rules. A high cost or disagreement alone does not establish the outcome.

How does this differ from recovering a debt?

This service concerns your relationship with a financial institution. If another person or business owes you money under an invoice or contract, start with Debt recovery in Civil law.
